Course Content

This course requires - 60 hours home study and to complete 3 case studies.

• Day 1

Full Salon Health & Safety. Methods used to sterilise and sanitise tools and equipment. Operating the 3-Wave laser machine systems, characteristics of laser, wavelengths, energy density, selective photothermolysis. Skin diseases & disorders, A&P relating to skin, hair and effects of hormones, the causes and definitions of hair growth Anatomy and Physiology.

How to prepare client for treatment, hair types and colour which can be treated, length between sessions, aftercare treatment. Recommended session guide, The correct use of 'Record Log Sheets". All laser treatments are logged and dated to record any changes to medication, all areas treated, fluency of each treatment, patient skin type (According to the Fitzpatrick Classification for Sun-Reactive Skin Types), number of shots used and record ed per treatment, the reaction of each treatment and cost of each treatment.

Establishing a safe environment, full laser consultation and information including medical contraindications, pre-treatment considerations, client medical history. Drugs list for either not treating client or test patch with caution. Patient consent and agreement. Treatment protocols, patch testing, aftercare procedures, effectiveness of treatments.
