Nail Technology Diploma

The Nail Technology Diploma provides extensive training in nail care procedures, including manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel nail enhancements, nail art and nail health. You will explore nail anatomy, product application techniques and client consultation skills, equipping them for success in the nail industry. Through a combination of practical and theoretical lessons, you will gain proficiency in both practical skills and theoretical knowledge, preparing them for rewarding careers in nail technology. Upon completion, you will receive an accredited qualification, allowing them to seek employment in salons, spas or start their own nail businesses.

Course content

• Manicure
  • Nail shaping, cuticle care and polish application for hands.
• Pedicure
  • Nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation and massage for feet.
• Acrylic dip extensions
  • Nail extensions created by dipping nails into acrylic powder and liquid.
• UV hard gel extensions
  • Nail extensions formed using hard gel cured under UV light.
• Silk & fibreglass maintenance / extensions
  • Maintenance and application of silk or fibreglass extensions for nail strengthening.
• Shaping
  • Process of filing and shaping the nails to achieve desired length, shape and style.
• UV gel polish
  • Application of gel polish cured under UV light for durable colour.
• Crystal toes
  • Embellishing toenails with crystals and nail art.
• Hollywood toes
  • Involves applying nail polish or gel in two contrasting colours to create a striking and glamorous look.
• Acrygel sculpt
  • Combination of acrylic and gel techniques; provides the strength of acrylic with the flexibility of gel.
• E-file
  • Use of an electric file for nail shaping and refinement.
• Product removal & infills
  • Safely removing existing nail enhancements like gel polish, acrylic or gel extensions.
  • Filing down the existing product and applying new layers to fill gaps.

Additional information

We have put together the best product kits for you to train with and use on clients. This means that you won't be needing to buy your student kits and then spend more to upgrade them for use on clients. We use natural, exceptional quality products from a number of different brands, including our signature 'Vicki Clarke Cosmetics' Range.  You will be training with our materials and products within the classroom, so purchase of the kit is an optional extra.
