Level 2 Beauty Therapy

This course is suitable for beginners.  Study on this VTCT internationally recognised qualification at your own pace. 

 This course includes online learning material and practical face to face sessions. The practical sessions are held at our training academy in Manchester City Centre.  You can learn at your own pace and on your own schedule making it easy to fit into your busy lifestyle.

You will have access to expert instructors, interactive content and valuable resources to help you achieve your goals.  In order to pass the course, you must complete assignments, exams and practical observations on clients.

 The VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy course covers the following;

• Manicure

Gain the knowledge and practical skills in the art of nail care. Luxury treatments such as warm oil, heated mitts and thermal booties, exfoliation and paraffin wax. Learn how to buff the nails and apply normal polish including French polish, skills that are fundamental to delivering professional manicure services in a salon or spa setting. 

•  Pedicure

Gain the practical skills required for professional pedicure services, and the skills needed to provide Luxury treatments such as exfoliation, thermal booties and paraffin wax. Learn how to buff the nails and apply normal polish including French polish. Upon successfully completing the Advanced Pedicure Techniques module, students will be well-prepared to offer high-quality, personalised pedicure services in a professional beauty therapy setting.

• Waxing

Gain the expertise and skills needed to excel in the art of waxing. Learn the intricacies of hair removal, focusing on advanced methods and specialised waxing procedures. You will acquire the knowledge and practical skills to deliver professional and client-centric waxing services for areas such as Eyebrows, Lip, Chin, Underarm, Basic bikini, Full leg, and Half leg.

•  Eye Treatments

Focus on the delicate and expressive area around the eyes. Learn how to tint the eyelashes and eyebrows, how to measure and shape the eyebrows to suit the client. You will also learn how to apply party lashes (cluster lashes) and strip lashes. Learn about a range of specialised procedures designed to enhance the natural beauty of the eyes while addressing various concerns. Students will engage in practical demonstrations, hands-on practice, and case studies to hone their skills and gain confidence in providing advanced eye treatments. 

• Facial

Gain the skills for advanced facial treatments and skincare procedures. specialised techniques to address various skin concerns. With practical hands-on sessions, case studies, and theoretical learning, you will be able to confidently offer advanced facial treatments in a professional spa or salon setting.  Learn how to perform a facial from start to finish, from, Client consultation, Cleansing routine, Skin analysis, Exfoliation, Steam and extraction, Massage routine, Mask application, and After care. 

• Make-up

Learn about the intricate and creative aspects of makeup artistry. develop expertise in various advanced techniques, including contouring and highlighting for different face shapes, mastering the art of eyeshadow blending, creating glamorous evening looks, and understanding the principles of bridal makeup. You will learn how to apply make-up professionally for, day make-up, evening make-up, special occasion make-up. 

• Reception Duties

Learn the fundamental principles of effective communication, customer service, and organisational skills required to create a welcoming and professional reception area within a beauty therapy setting. You will meet and greet clients, answer the telephone, and organise stock, ensure the smooth running of the salon.

• Salon Manager

Cover a range of topics designed to equip you with the knowledge needed to manage various aspects of salon operations. You will have gain the necessary skills and knowledge to run a successful beauty salon, ensuring both the business and clients thrive in a well-managed and welcoming environment.

• Health & Safety

This unit is an essential component of your beauty therapy course, designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to create a safe and secure working environment within a beauty setting. This module covers a comprehensive range of topics, including hygiene practices, risk assessment, emergency procedures, the hazards and the risks involved in running a Salon, and in compliance with relevant regulations and current legislation.
