Through hands-on training and expert instruction, you'll master various massage strokes, including effleurage, kneading and deep tissue manipulation. Whether you're a novice or an experienced therapist, this course offers a comprehensive exploration of back massage therapy, equipping you with the skills and confidence to provide clients with a deeply rejuvenating experience.

Back massage offers numerous benefits, including muscle relaxation, pain relief, stress reduction, improved circulation, better posture, enhanced sleep quality, emotional well-being, increased range of motion, immune support and overall relaxation.

Course structure

You will be provided with pre-course reading. This will cover basic anatomy and physiology, and health and safety. It will be covered in depth in your session.

The back massage course will be completed in two days. You will learn the theory of the treatment as well as carry out practical assessments on live models.

A practical assessment is carried out using a model. This allows you the maximum time during the training to work upon acquiring and demonstrating the required technique. We recommend bringing your own model. If you can’t; let the Academy know at least 48 hours before your course and the Academy can support with finding you a model for a £10 admin fee.
