Brow Lamination (1:1)

Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that helps to shape and set eyebrow hairs in a desired position, typically upwards, resulting in a fuller and more defined appearance. It involves applying a gentle chemical solution to the brows to soften and reposition the hairs, followed by a neutralising solution to set them in place. This treatment can give the illusion of thicker, more voluminous brows.

Brow lamination is the latest innovation in brow artistry; thick, fluffy brows. This course will show you how to shape and wax eyebrows, to create the full and fluffy brow look. Then the use of tint to enhance and define the colour, shape and thickness of eyebrows. After the treatment, brows are designed to last between 4-8 weeks.

Course structure 

You will be provided with pre-course reading which will cover basic anatomy and physiology, and health and safety. This will be recapped in your session.

This course is covered in one practical training day. You will learn the theory of the treatment as well as carrying out practical assessments on live models.

A practical assessment is carried out using a model allowing you the maximum time during the training to work upon acquiring and demonstrating the required technique. We recommend bringing your own model or if you can’t; let the Academy know at least 48 hours before your course and the Academy can support with finding you a model for a £10 admin fee.

Course content 

• Health and safety in the workplace and salon environment (recap only):
  • Reviewing sanitation protocols for tools and workspaces.
  • Ensuring proper ventilation and hygiene practices.
• Anatomy and physiology of the skin (recap only):
  • Recapitulating skin structure and function.
  • Understanding eyebrow anatomy and hair growth cycles.
• Practical delivery of brow lamination treatment on a live model:
  • Demonstrating application of lamination solution to shape and set eyebrow hairs.
  • Ensuring precise and symmetrical results for enhanced brow definition.
• Equipment, tools and products:
  • Familiarising with brow lamination kits, including lifting solutions, setting solutions and tools such as brow brushes and adhesive.
  • Selecting quality products for safe and effective treatment.
• Aftercare advice:
  • Providing instructions on post-treatment care, including avoiding water and steam for the initial period.
  • Advising on brow grooming techniques and products to maintain the laminated look between appointments.

Additional information 

We do not include any kits with our training course offers, however we will provide any equipment required to complete the practical training on the day. We like to encourage you to find brands, products and tools that suit you. Your tutor will be able to support you with products and tools advice on the day, and you can also refer to your course manual for this information.

Upon completion of the brow lamination course you will receive an accredited qualification and with this you will also be able to obtain insurance. We recommend you check that your insurance company insures the treatment and whether that will incur any additional costs to you before purchasing this course.

You are covered under our insurance policy on the day of your training, however as soon as you are off site you will be required to have your own insurance. If you are a new student you can obtain a student only policy (usually around £20 a year) until you are charging for treatments. If you already have insurance please ensure you contact your insurance company to add your new service to your policy. Insurance is YOUR responsibility.
