Hot Stones Massage (Group training)
A hot stone massage is a specialised form of massage therapy designed to promote relaxation and alleviate tension in both muscles and soft tissues. This technique involves the strategic placement of smooth, flat, heated stones on targeted areas of the body. The soothing warmth of the stones helps to enhance blood flow, release muscle stiffness and alleviate discomfort, resulting in a deeply rejuvenating experience. By combining the therapeutic benefits of heat with traditional massage techniques, hot stone massage offers a unique and effective way to nurture both the body and the mind.
Course structure
You will be provided with pre-course reading which will cover basic anatomy and physiology, and health and safety. This will be recapped in your session.
The hot stones massage course will be completed in one day between 10am-2pm (times may vary). You will learn the theory of the treatment as well as carry out practical assessments on live models.
A practical assessment is carried out using a model allowing you the maximum time during the training to work upon acquiring and demonstrating the required technique.
