Mesotherapy (1:1)
Mesotherapy is an injection method that introduces small doses of active substances in the middle layers of the skin to activate intercellular processes. It improves cellular metabolism and regeneration. The injected formula includes vitamins, amino acids, enzymes and more rejuvenates the cells and elastin, promotes lymph drainage and cellular growth. The quality of your skin will be improved from the inside out with mesotherapy. The procedure is low-impact and highly efficient, your skin will appear more radiated and refreshed.
Course structure
You will be provided with pre course reading which will cover basic anatomy and physiology, and health and safety. This will be recapped in your session.
The course will be completed in one day between 10am-4pm (times may vary). You will learn the theory of the treatment as well as carry out practical assessments on live models.
A practical assessment is carried out using a model allowing you the maximum time during the training to work upon acquiring and demonstrating the required technique. We recommend bringing your own model or if you can’t; let the Academy know at least 48 hours before your course and the Academy can support with finding you a model for a £10 admin fee.
Course content
- Contraindications of mesotherapy treatment:
- Identifying medical conditions such as pregnancy, autoimmune disorders or allergies to injected substances that may contraindicate mesotherapy.
- Understanding when to avoid treatment or seek medical clearance for certain clients.
- Contra-actions of mesotherapy treatment:
- Recognising potential adverse reactions such as redness, swelling or bruising post-treatment.
- Implementing appropriate measures to alleviate discomfort and minimise side effects.
- Understanding the kit required:
- Familiarising with the necessary equipment and supplies for mesotherapy, including sterile needles, vials of injectable solutions and disinfectants.
- Ensuring the availability of safety gear such as gloves and face masks to maintain hygiene standards.
- Successfully carrying out mesotherapy on a live model:
- Practicing proper injection techniques and dosage calculations to deliver precise and effective treatment.
- Ensuring clear communication and obtaining informed consent from the model before proceeding.
- Aftercare for clients:
- Providing comprehensive instructions on post-treatment care, including gentle cleansing, moisturising and sun protection.
- Advising against strenuous exercise or exposure to extreme temperatures immediately following treatment to minimise swelling or discomfort.
- Monitoring the client's progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have during the recovery period.
Additional information
We do not include any kits with our training course offers, however we will provide any equipment required to complete the practical training on the day. We like to encourage you to find brands, products and tools that suit you. Your tutor will be able to support you with products and tools advice on the day, and you can also refer to your course manual for this information.
Upon completion of the mesotherapy course you will receive an accredited qualification and with this you will also be able to obtain insurance. We recommend you check that your insurance company insures the treatment and whether that will incur any additional costs to you before purchasing this course.
You are covered under our insurance policy on the day of your training, however as soon as you are off site you will be required to have your own insurance. If you are a new student you can obtain a student only policy (usually around £20 a year) until you are charging for treatments. If you already have insurance please ensure you contact your insurance company to add your new service to your policy. Insurance is YOUR responsibility.
