Course structure

The qualification is delivered through a blended learning approach – a combination of traditional classroom teaching (face-to-face) and online learning/independent study.

• Independent study, reading and research with remote tutor support – recommended self-study of 8/10 hours per week

  • Gain expertise in shaping eyebrows and enhancing eyelashes.
  • Learn techniques for tinting, shaping and grooming brows and lashes.
• Client care & communication in beauty-related industries:
  • Develop effective communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
  • Learn to provide personalised service and address client needs and concerns.
• Provide manicure treatments:
  • Learn manicure techniques, including nail shaping, cuticle care and polish application.
  • Understand hand and nail anatomy to provide tailored treatments.
• Provide pedicure treatments:
  • Master pedicure procedures, including foot exfoliation, callus removal and nail care.
  • Practice proper foot sanitation and hygiene for client comfort and safety.
• Follow health & safety practice in the salon:
  • Understand health and safety regulations relevant to the beauty industry.
  • Learn procedures for maintaining salon cleanliness and preventing cross-contamination.
• Apply make-up:
  • Learn techniques for applying makeup for different occasions and looks.
  • Understand colour theory and product selection for optimal results.
• Instruction on make-up application:
