Gels are hard gels which you can create nail extensions with using a UV lamp to cure the gel to harden it. You will learn the difference between soft gels and hard gels. • Anatomy & Physiology of the Nail

Here, students learn about the structure and function of the nail including its various layers, blood supply and growth process. Understanding nail anatomy and physiology is crucial for performing nail treatments safely and effectively.

• Consult with Client

This unit focuses on effective communication and consultation skills to understand clients' needs, preferences and any relevant medical history or concerns. It emphasises building rapport, setting expectations and ensuring client satisfaction.

• Treatment Procedure

In this unit, you will learn the step-by-step process of applying gel extensions including nail preparation, application techniques, shaping and curing. Attention is given to achieving professional results while maintaining hygiene standards.
