Level 4 Diploma in Teaching Yoga (RQF)
Each learner is required to create portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and the assessment criteria associated with each unit.
The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio could include:

Unit 1: Teaching Yoga as a Profession
This unit focuses on the professional aspects of teaching yoga, including ethics, communication skills, legal considerations, and business management. It explores the role of a yoga teacher in various settings and equips learners with the necessary skills to establish and maintain a successful yoga teaching career.
Unit 2: Planning and Delivering Yoga Classes
In this unit, learners develop the skills needed to effectively plan and deliver yoga classes. Topics covered include class structure, sequencing, adapting practices to different audiences, creating inclusive environments, and using appropriate teaching methodologies to engage students effectively.
Unit 3: Understanding and Applying the Philosophy of Yoga
This unit delves into the philosophical foundations of yoga, including its historical background, key philosophical concepts, and their practical application in teaching and personal practice. Learners explore yoga philosophy to deepen their understanding of its holistic approach to health and well-being.
Unit 4: Teaching Asana to Meet the Needs of Mixed Ability Students
Focusing on the physical aspect of yoga, this unit addresses the teaching of asanas (yoga postures) to students with varying levels of experience and abilities. It covers modifications, adjustments, and props to accommodate diverse needs, ensuring that all students can safely and effectively participate in yoga classes.
Unit 5: Finding the Breath
This unit emphasises the importance of breath awareness and pranayama (breathing techniques) in yoga practice. Learners explore the anatomy of breathing, various pranayama techniques, their effects on the body and mind, and how to integrate breathwork into yoga classes to enhance overall well-being and deepen the practice.

Requirements
Must have a Level 2 in Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent, Level 3 Award in the Foundations of Yoga or equivalent and have practiced Yoga competently for a minimum1 year. Minimum 18 yrs old.
