Our VTCT NVQ Level 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy Combined course offers comprehensive training in beauty therapy. You will learn a range of skills including manicure, pedicure, makeup application, facial treatments, waxing, lash and brow treatments, anatomy and physiology and health & safety. Upon completion, you will be equipped with the knowledge and expertise to pursue a successful career in the beauty industry.

Once you have completed your training you will then complete your VTCT study at home in your own time. The greatest benefit of this structure is its flexibility. With no need to commit to a college timetable or schedule, you can complete your case studies when you have the time to do them. The more time you can dedicate to working through them, the faster you will get your diploma.

Course content

• Manicure and Spa Manicure: 
  • You will learn the art of nail care, including shaping, filing and cuticle maintenance. Spa manicure techniques incorporating exfoliation and hydration will also be covered to provide clients with a luxurious experience.
• Pedicure and Spa Pedicure: 
  • This module covers foot care techniques such as nail trimming, callus removal and moisturising. You will also learn how to perform spa pedicures, which involve additional steps like foot scrubs and massage for ultimate relaxation.
• Make-up Essentials: 
  • You will master fundamental make-up techniques, including foundation application, contouring and eye make-up. Emphasis will be placed on creating various looks for different occasions and client preferences.
• Facial Treatments: 
  • This segment delves into the world of facial skincare, covering cleansing, toning, exfoliation and mask application. You will learn about different skin types and conditions to tailor treatments accordingly.
• Waxing: 
  • Both hard and soft waxing methods will be taught, covering areas such as legs, arms, underarms and the bikini line. You will gain proficiency in waxing techniques, ensuring effective hair removal with minimal discomfort.
• Lash and Brow Treatments: 
  • This module focuses on enhancing the appearance of lashes and brows through techniques like tinting, shaping and lifting. You will learn to accentuate clients' natural features to achieve desired looks.
• Anatomy and Physiology: 
  • Understanding the human body is crucial in beauty therapy. This module covers the structure and functions of various body systems, providing you with essential knowledge for safe and effective treatments.
• Health & Safety: 
  • You will be trained in maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment, including proper sanitation protocols and infection control measures. This ensures the well-being of both clients and practitioners.
• Facial Electrical Treatments: 
  • You will explore the use of electrical devices in facial treatments, such as microcurrent therapy and LED light therapy. These treatments aim to improve skin tone, texture and overall appearance.
• Body Massage Treatments: 
  • This segment covers the art of body massage, including different techniques like Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and aromatherapy massage. You will learn how to provide relaxation and relieve muscle tension for clients.
• Body Electrical Treatments: 
  • You will learn about various electrical devices used for body treatments, such as ultrasound therapy and electrical muscle stimulation. These treatments target specific concerns like cellulite reduction and muscle toning.
