VTCT NVQ Level 2, 3 & 4 Beauty Therapy Combined

Our VTCT NVQ Level 2, 3 & 4 Beauty Therapy Combined course provides comprehensive training in beauty therapy across three levels. You will learn fundamental skills in Level 2, including manicure, pedicure, makeup, facials and waxing. Level 3 builds on these skills with advanced treatments like facial electrotherapy, body massage and body electrotherapy. Finally Level 4 delves deeper into specialised techniques, such as IPL / laser hair removal. This combined course will equip you with the knowledge and practical experience needed for a successful career in the beauty industry.

Once you have completed your training you will then complete your VTCT study at home in your own time. The greatest benefit of this structure is its flexibility. With no need to commit to a college timetable or schedule, you can complete your case studies when you have the time to do them. The more time you can dedicate to working through them, the faster you will get your diploma.

Course content

• Manicure and Spa Manicure: 
  • You will learn the techniques of professional manicuring, including nail shaping, cuticle care, hand massage and polish application. Additionally, spa manicure training covers advanced treatments like exfoliation to rejuvenate the hands.
• Pedicure and Spa Pedicure: 
  • This module focuses on foot care, teaching you how to perform pedicures, callus removal, foot massage and polish application. Spa pedicure training includes additional techniques such as exfoliation, foot masques and hot stone massages.
• Make-up Essentials: 
  • You will master the art of makeup application, learning about colour theory, facial shapes and different makeup products and tools. Techniques for creating various looks from natural to dramatic will be covered.
• Facial Treatments: 
  • This segment covers a range of facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, steaming, extractions, facial massage and mask application. You will learn to customise treatments based on skin types and conditions.
• Waxing: Both Hard and Soft Wax Treatments: 
  • Training covers both hard and soft waxing techniques for hair removal on different body parts. You will learn proper waxing application, hair removal methods and aftercare procedures.
• Lash and Brow Treatments: 
  • You will be trained in lash and brow treatments, including tinting, shaping and eyelash extensions application. Techniques for enhancing and defining the eyes and brows will be covered.
• Anatomy and Physiology: 
  • This module provides a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and physiology focusing on the body systems relevant to beauty therapy, including the integumentary, musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
• Health & Safety: 
  • You will learn about health and safety regulations, sanitation practices and infection control measures to maintain a safe environment for clients and practitioners.
• Facial Electrical Treatments: 
  • Training includes the use of electrical devices such as microcurrent, galvanic and high-frequency machines for facial rejuvenation, toning and skincare enhancement.
• Body Massage Treatments: 
  • You will learn various massage techniques for the body, including Swedish, deep tissue and aromatherapy massages. Training covers massage sequences, pressure application and client comfort.
• Body Electrical Treatments: 
  • This module focuses on the use of electrical devices for body treatments, such as muscle toning, cellulite reduction and skin firming.
• IPL/Laser Hair Removal: 
  • Training covers the principles and practices of IPL and laser hair removal including client consultation, skin assessment, treatment planning, safety protocols and aftercare instructions.
