The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement which OFQUAL fully regulates, can be completed entirely online at your convenience and then come into the centre to shadow assessors with over 20 years of experience. We will give you 2 learners to assess within the aesthetic or beauty industry and you will then assess them to complete your assessments.
Becoming a certified assessor can pave the way for numerous opportunities and allow you to shape your career as you see fit. You can work full time or part time as an independent assessor. The training, skills, and development industry offers a wealth of opportunities for assessors.
After qualifying you may want to continue onto our level 4 IQA or level 5 Teaching qualifications to enable you to continue further with your career.
How the course runs….
Once payment is made, you will be emailed some start-up documentation to read and sign. As soon as we have your start-up paperwork email it back to us you will be sent your theory work, once completed we will book you some shadowing sessions and then give you 2 learners to practically assess their 2 units.

Shadowing sessions
The trainee assessor must carry out at least 2 learners’ practical occupational competence and 2 other forms of assessment. Professional Discussion to be undertaken, to confirm knowledge and understanding. The trainee assessor must carry out at least 2 learners’ vocational practical competence assessments and 2 other methods of assessment.
Course content:
QA301 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (K/618/0281) –
This unit delves into the fundamental concepts and methods of assessment, including assessment types, principles of assessment, assessment planning and the legal and ethical responsibilities of assessors.
QA302 – Assessing Occupational Competence in the Work Environment (M/618/0282) –
This unit focuses on the practical application of assessment in real work environments. It covers how to plan, conduct and evaluate assessments of occupational competence, ensuring that individuals meet industry standards and requirements.
QA303 – Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding (T/618/0283) –
In this unit, learners develop the skills to assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a variety of contexts. It includes techniques for designing assessment activities, gathering evidence and providing constructive feedback to learners to support their development.
