Beginning makeup artists must be able to achieve a broad spectrum of skills and build up a working knowledge of fundamental techniques like matching the colour with the foundation, applying false eyelashes, drawing smoky eyes or doing a complete bridal session. All beginner makeup artists start their journey by adding bridal makeup to their portfolio. Geet Soni has spent years perfecting her skills in doing bridals and has structured the perfect course to strengthen a student’s current capabilities that would soon open doors to new opportunities. This paves the way for them to transition into the glamour and fashion industry, taking on more exciting projects like celebrity photo shoots, backstage fashion shows, ad shoots and even attending to TV personalities. With Geet Soni’s guidance and assistance, over 150 students have moved on into the industry and are on their way to being included among the best makeup artists in the present industry.

Makeup artistry is not that difficult to learn with the right direction of the practice. This course seeks to improve the present skill-set of any learned cosmetologist and boost their confidence. It can be approached as both a refresher as well as an advanced course which not only bridges the gap within basic training but also goes on to teaching progressive new styles and techniques, for example, mehndi training courses which are in tangent with current trends in the industry. For students who are eager to expand their training and mature into a professional, this is the ideal beginner make-up course for them.

This course is over 7 days, you will cover 8 makeup looks including prom / party and bridal. These courses will be taught with a maximum of 4 students at one time. Upon completion you will receive an accredited certification and all material needed to complete the course will be provided.

Bridal Makeup Techniques:

• Traditional Bridal Makeup:
  • Soft, natural-looking makeup suitable for traditional ceremonies.
• Asian Bridal Makeup:
  • Application techniques tailored to Asian features and cultural preferences.

Glamour Party and Prom Makeup:

• Dramatic Eyeliner Techniques:
  • Winged eyeliner, graphic eyeliner and other dramatic styles.
• Bold Lipstick Application:
  • Tips for achieving precise application and long-lasting wear.

Contouring and Highlighting:

• Sculpting the face with shading and highlighting techniques.
• Enhancing facial features and creating dimension.

Eyeshadow Blending and Colour Combinations:

• Techniques for seamless blending of eyeshadow colours.
• Creating complementary colour combinations for different eye shapes.

False Eyelash Application:

• Applying false eyelashes for added volume and length.
• Choosing the right style of false lashes for different looks.

Client Consultation and Communication Skills:

• Effective communication with clients to understand their preferences.
• Providing professional advice and recommendations based on client needs.

Practice Sessions and Hands-On Demonstrations:

• Practical application of makeup techniques on models.

About Geet Soni

I am Geet Soni, also known as Jasleen Kaur, your instructor, motivator and guide at Makeup with Geet Soni Academy. I have been a business entrepreneur in the make-up and hair industry for over a decade, specialising in pre-wedding shoots, bridal makeup, catwalk modelling shows and even music video shoots.

Leveraging the experience that I have gained from working extensively across a vast range of fields in this industry, has enabled me to branch out into creating an academy for training the aspiring make-up artists of today. My goal and mission are to empower women in this field, to help them build their careers with an enthusiasm that will later go on to become a stepping stone for reaching greater heights.

In the last 10 years, I have inspired and trained hundreds of students into actualising their true calling in life. They have experienced an immense boost in their level of confidence that has enabled them to make a difference in their life and make their dreams a reality. I can say with immense pride that many of my students have landed massive opportunities that have placed them at the forefront of the beauty industry, catering to major celebrities as well as retaining dozens of repeat customers.
