12 Week Acrylic Course

The 12 Week Acrylic Course is delivered by Celebrity Nail Artist and Brillbird Educator Sarah Evans giving you the most complete introduction to nails and providing them with the best tools to start being a Nail Artist. The course is constantly updated to ensure you receive training on the most recent and innovative nail application techniques. 

We focus everything on you to ensure you leave with the knowledge and skills to becoming a professional nail technician. Our nail courses are designed to ease your nerves, build confidence and get you on the path to a successful career in nails. Becoming a professionally qualified nail technician will allow you to have a job you love and enjoy no matter whether you decide to work in a salon or open your own nail business. If you are serious about learning the art of nails from a world-renowned expert, this course is for you.

Course structure

The course is 12 lessons in class, after passing each units assessment in class you will complete case studies at home and have lifetime support and feedback.

Throughout and following the training, you will be required to do assessments and to submit 8 case studies to show that you have retained and practiced the training. Your certifications will be awarded to you once you have successfully passed those. As any learning experience, you will only get as good as the effort you put in and we will be behind you to help you get the best out of yourself!

You will gain an Acrylic qualification accredited by ABT.

Course content

• Tip & overlay: 
  • Learn how to apply tips and overlay them with acrylic.
• Reverse French: 
  • Master the technique of creating a reverse French manicure with acrylic.
• Natural tips: 
  • Understand how to apply acrylic on natural nail tips for enhancement.
• Ombre: 
  • Explore the art of creating ombre effects using acrylic.
• Encapsulated glitter: 
  • Discover how to encapsulate glitter within acrylic nails.
• 3D designs: 
  • Learn to sculpt intricate 3D designs using acrylic.
• Infills: 
  • Understand the process of infilling acrylic nails to maintain their appearance.
• Product ratio: 
  • Gain proficiency in achieving the correct acrylic-to-liquid ratio for optimal results.
• 4 beginner shapes: 
  • Practice shaping acrylic nails into square, squoval, almond and round/oval shapes.
• Smile lines: 
  • Master the technique of creating smooth and symmetrical smile lines with acrylic.
• Health and safety: 
  • Learn about health and safety practices to ensure client well-being.
• Anatomy & physiology: 
  • Understand the anatomy and physiology of the nail and surrounding structures.

Additional information

A model for practice and assessments on some weeks will be needed, if you are struggling to find a model we can try to find one for you, please let us know when booking if you have a model or not.
