E-File Course

The E-File Course is delivered by Celebrity Nail Artist and Brillbird Educator Sarah Evans giving students the most complete introduction to E-File and providing them with the best tools to build on their skills. The course is constantly updated to ensure students receive training on the most recent and innovative nail application techniques. 

Course content

• Correct handling & care of your machine:
  • Regular cleaning and maintenance to prolong its lifespan.
  • Avoiding water exposure to prevent damage.
• Correct use of drill bits:
  • Understanding the purpose of each drill bit for specific tasks.
  • Ensuring proper installation and securing before use.
• Correct drill speeds:
  • Adjusting speeds according to the task and client comfort.
  • Slower speeds for delicate areas and higher speeds for tougher tasks.
• Reduce length:
  • Safely shortening nail length without causing damage or discomfort.
• Debulk artificial nails:
  • Removing excess product to achieve a more natural and balanced appearance.
• Cut out and create new smile lines:
  • Precision cutting to reshape smile lines for aesthetic enhancement.
• Blend down infills:
  • Seamlessly blending new product with existing acrylic or gel during infill sessions.
• Thin down free edge:
  • Thinning the edge of the nail for a more refined and tapered look.
• Clean underneath the nail:
  • Ensuring thorough cleaning to maintain hygiene and prevent infections.

Additional information

All students will be required to work on & bring a model with nail enhancements that have at least 2 weeks growth preferably with gel polish over the acrylic/ gel. Models can be provided for a £25 fee. Please let us know when booking if you have a model or not.
