Waxing is one of the most popular salon treatments for which clients return every four to six weeks. The course covers all areas of face and body waxing (including leg waxing, bikini waxing, underarms, facial hair, eyebrow wax) and you will also learn how to do Hot Waxing.

Course content

• Contra-indications
  • Before performing any waxing treatment, it's crucial to be aware of the contra-indications which are conditions or situations that may prevent or restrict the client from receiving the treatment. These can include skin disorders, allergies, recent sun exposure or certain medications.
• Warm Wax
  • Warm wax, also known as strip wax, is a popular method of hair removal where a thin layer of wax is applied to the skin and then removed using a fabric or paper strip. This technique is suitable for larger areas of the body like the legs, arms and back.
• Hot Wax
  • Hot wax, also known as hard wax, is applied directly to the skin in a thicker layer and allowed to cool and harden before being removed without the use of strips. It's particularly effective for smaller, more sensitive areas like the bikini line, underarms and face.
• Methods of Hair Removal
  • In this course, you'll learn various methods of hair removal using both warm and hot wax techniques. From mastering the correct application and removal process to understanding how to minimise discomfort and reduce the risk of adverse reactions, you'll develop the skills needed to provide safe, effective and comfortable waxing treatments for your clients.
