Level 3 Award in Education and Training

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training course equips individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to become effective educators. It covers essential aspects of teaching, including planning, delivery, assessment and classroom management. This qualification is suitable for those who are new to teaching or training and wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification in the field.

Course content

Unit 1: Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training
The aim of this unit is to provide the learner with the understanding of the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training, maintaining a safe and support learning environment and understanding relationships between teachers and other professionals in education and training.

• Understand the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training
• Understand ways to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
• Understand the relationships between teachers and other professionals in education and training

Assessment: Written Assignment

Unit 2: Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in Education and Training

Assessment: Written assignment and a micro-teach. The candidate will have to deliver a 20 minute teaching session to a group of at least 3 people and record this and upload the video

Unit 3: Understand assessment in Education & Training

Assessment: Written assignment

Candidates will receive all of the information needed to be able to write their assignments and have access to ongoing support from their distance tutor throughout their qualification.

Upon uploading work and supporting evidence for marking the candidate would then receive feedback and be certificated once the Level 3 standard has been met
