• Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin and Nails:
  • Exploring the structure and function of skin layers and nail composition.
  • Understanding nail growth patterns and common skin conditions.
  • Identifying factors affecting nail and skin health.
• Contra-indications and Contra-actions:
  • Recognising conditions that may restrict or prevent treatments.
  • Understanding potential adverse reactions and implementing safety measures.
  • Knowing when to defer or modify treatments based on contraindications.
• Preparation for Treatment:
  • Organising the treatment area with necessary tools and supplies.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of tools and equipment.
  • Preparing the client's nails, hands or feet for manicure or pedicure treatment.
• Spa and Basic Manicure Treatments:
  • Providing luxurious spa manicures with exfoliation, massage and hydration.
  • Performing basic manicure procedures including nail shaping, cuticle care and polish application.
• Spa and Basic Pedicure Treatments:
  • Delivering relaxing spa pedicures with exfoliation, massage and moisturising techniques.
  • Conducting basic pedicure procedures such as nail trimming, cuticle care and foot exfoliation.
• Application and Removal of Gel Polish:
  • Applying gel polish evenly and curing it under UV or LED lamp.
  • Demonstrating proper gel polish removal techniques to avoid damage to nails.
• Aftercare and Maintenance:
  • Providing clients with aftercare instructions for maintaining manicure or pedicure results.
  • Advising on proper nail and foot care routines.
  • Offering recommendations for prolonging the longevity of gel polish manicures.
